Along with his son, owned Shoemake Classic Cars GROVELAND - Bobby Dale "Bob" Shoemake, 71, of Groveland passed away at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1938, in Flat River, Mo., to Glenwood and Myrtle Franklin Shoemake. Surviving are two children, Nancy (Gary) McLeane of St. Louis, Mo., and Bob (Kris) Shoemake of East Peoria; granddaughter, Kelsey Shoemake of East Peoria; and two sisters, Sharon (Ray) Elders and Jean (Jim) Tinker, both of Farmington, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bob worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Edwards, retiring in 2003. He and his son were owners of Shoemake Classic Cars in East Peoria. He was a member of the Ironworkers & Operating Engineers and Shriners in Missouri. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, with the Rev. Ron Stewart officiating. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
